What is DANCETONED?

Being a dancer my whole life I have always been surrounded by other performers and I noticed that pretty much everyone was fit, healthy, looked great and had an air of confidence about them. I also realised that they looked that way off the stage and when they were not performing. I realised that dancers didn’t look that way because of the dance routines they do but instead they looked like that because of what they were doing outside of rehearsals. Dancers don’t look that way because they dance, they look that way so they can dance.

I thought, wouldn't it be great if non-dancers could be toned like dancers. So I came up with DanceToned. I created a way for people to get toned, healthy and confident like a dancer without having to do a single dance step.

We took a look at the things that make dancers successful and tied them into the perfect at home workout.

In dance we do dance steps to music, at DanceToned we do fitness moves to music. In Dance we train in technique and improve over time. At DanceToned we start easy and work through multiple levels all the way to advanced. The easier levels are there to build a foundation and introduce you to new moves and techniques. As you move through the levels the move progresses getting more challenging as you progress.

As dancers we have rehearsals that might run for a few weeks before the opening night when we are in peak form with great technique and physically toned. The beginning of rehearsals, routines are simplified as everything is new, we use repetition to improve technique, strength and improve toning until it’s opening night and we are at peak fitness and filled with confidence.
At dance toned we do the same but rather it being rehearsals we do challenges. A challenge runs of multiple weeks. As the challenge starts easier, we repeat sections to improve strength and form. The middle section helps with getting toned and muscle building and by the end you are filled with confidence and the feeling of success.

Dancers are not choreographers or directors, we just show up, work hard, sweat hard and by the end feel accomplished and successful. DanceToned is the same, all you have to do is show up by logging in and doing that day's workout and by the end of it I promise you will look and feel great.
