Why should I take before and after photos?

At DanceToned we are strong believers in success over time and achieving our goals. Before and after photos are a huge part of this. The first thing to understand here is the importance of Before photos. It’s impossible to go back in time and take a before photo. It's also hard to take before photos as often it represents something that we are trying to change, a version of you that you are wanting to improve on. If you are trying to lose weight, get toned and improve confidence then the last thing you will want to do is take a photo of yourself. But I cannot tell you enough how important this step is. You don't have to share it with anyone or even tell anyone. This is a very personal thing. Just take a photo of yourself and just keep it. Do a front and a side photo trying to get your entire body in. Also include your face, I’ll explain why in a moment.

Over time your body will change, your confidence will grow and you will feel incredible. That I know. It's so great to go back to see where you came from to see how far you have come. It is a huge personal motivator as well as it will push you to keep going and achieve your goals. It can also help if you feel less motivated for a time, it acts as a reminder of where you came from and to give in will mean losing all your success and gains. The reason for getting your entire body in including your face is because health and wellness is not just stomach fat or losing weight. You will see a huge change in your posture, in the openness of your shoulders you will see a change in confidence, the way you hold your head high. You will be proud of your achievements. That's what DanceToned is about, it's about you being the best version of yourself.

The final reason for before and after photos is to give you the ability to share your story with other DanceToned members. They will celebrate you and cheer you on. At the beginning you might think you will never have the confidence to share and that may stay true but you’d be surprised at how many people see the most incredible results and want to share with the community.

So don't be afraid to take photos of your progress, it's private and just for you but it can be a great motivator.
